I'm the Principal Designer at East Coast Foundry. For a decade, I've designed typefaces, identities and the graphic systems behind products and services. I'm from the 50th Visual Communication batch at NID Ahmedabad, where I found my love for visuals, technology and culture. At Indian Type Foundry between 2015 and 2017, I designed Ashoka Odia, a calligraphic Odia typeface. The universal need for communication has allowed me to work across diverse sectors. In I became Lead UX Designer at Licious, designing the system behind its customer-facing products.
My relationship with letterforms and fonts continued alongside that work through collaborations with type foundries. Some of this work has been recognised by Red Dot and Type Directors Club. In I returned to type design study at the Plantin-Moretus Museum in Antwerp, reviving Robert Granjon and Hendrik van den Keere as Grand Paragon, my first Latin typeface. Today, my design practice moves between commercial and developmental projects through East Coast Foundry in Bhubaneswar, and adjunct teaching at design institutions and national universities.
